I will focus on issues that will unite Isoko Nation. - Hon. Jeol-Onowakpo Thomas

The All Progressive Congress candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has assured Isoko people of adequate empowerment if elected. He stated this in his new year message to Isoko people. Read message below,

We give God the glory that we  made it into 2019. This was only possible through the divine grace and mercy of God, it was not by our power. So, I formerly welcome you to 2019, a year of new beginnings.

This year is remarkable because, Nigerians have the privilege of once again choosing those who will lead them for the next four (4) years at different  capacities. I am seeking your votes.

I reiterate my promise that if I am elected as the member representing the Isoko nation at the Federal House of Representatives, I will ensure that I deliberately pursue an agenda that will adequately empower the Isoko people, especially the youths  through quality education, vocational training and employment opportunities. I do not believe in giving them fish, but teaching them how to fish. So that they can be useful to themselves and the society at large. Know that when you are given fish, you eat it and when it gets finished, you start scouting for more. But, but when you know how to fish, you become a master and will be in position to teach others. By so doing, the people are developing and the society is developing and advancing. While also, performing my legislative duties.

I will also focus on issues that will unite us as a people, rather than divide us. Despite the fact that we have been divided by north and south nomenclature, just for political conveniences, we are sons and daughters of the same parents, WE ARE ONE. Isoko is Isoko. So, every Isoko person, community will be served equally in areas of developmental projects and empowerment.

In this regard, we must therefore use this 2019 general elections to set things right. It is only fair that after 16 years, it is time to change our representative, in order for us to experience what true representation is all about. The taste of the pudding is in the eating. We need this urgent change for better things to happen in Isoko land.  

Finally, as we have successfully been brought to 2019, it is my wish that God will protect us and grant everyone of us our heart desires as we move to the next level.
