The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the review of the timetable for the conduct of the 2018 party primaries elections.
By the previous schedule, presidential primaries were to take place on September 20, while appeals that can stand up from the conduct were to be held on September 22.
September 25 was for the conduct of governorship primaries, at the same time as September 26 to 27 were fixed for the listening to of appeals that can arise from the conduct.
September 28 to 30 was fixed for the listening to of appeals that may rise up from all legislative primaries, and the national convention was to maintain on October 6 to ratify the party’s candidate for the 2019 presidential election.
However, via the new time table, launched on Wednesday by Emma Ibediro Esq., National Organizing Secretary of the party, the presidential primary election has now been fixed for September 25.
Governorship primary election will now hold on September 29, whilst the Senate elections will hold on October 2. October 3 will witness the House of Representatives primary elections, whilst October 4 will be for State Homes of Assembly primary elections
The National Convention (presidential) will maintain on October 6 to bring the curtain down at the party inner processes for deciding on its candidates for the 2019 general election.
The new TIMETABLE
September 25 — presidential primary election
September 29 — governorship primary election
October 2 — senate primary elections
October 3 — house of representatives primary elections
October four — nation house of meeting primary elections
October 6 — national conference (presidential)
