Some youths in collaboration with some politicians both in the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State are said to be perfecting plans to stage a protest against Hon Leo Ogor to step down as the House of Representatives member representing Isoko Federal Constituency of Delta State.
Sources said he has been away from his seat on account of a yet to be officially disclosed ill-health that has led to his admission in a hospital abroad.
Ogor, the very outspoken minority leader of the lower chamber is said to have suffered a partial paralysis. While some say he has been flown to a Swiss hospital, others said he is in an unknown hospital in the UK and presently cannot talk or walk making it doubtful if he will be able to return to his seat at the national assembly and function like he used to.
Hon Ogor is said to have been out of the green chamber for close to four months, a period they said is more than enough to call for his resignation or the process of his recall will be set in motion.
“A whole Isoko nation is right now without a representative, our source who is an APc member and who we hear is warming to struggle for the seat with Ogor in 2019 said. “If he is sick and unfit for his post let him step down so that we can go for another person.”
