Meet the biggest winner of the #KadunaDecides, Her Excellency, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, the first female deputy governor in the history of Kaduna and the core North. Congratulations Dr Hadiza and Mallam ElRufai.
Her Biography:
Dr Hadiza Abubakar Balarabe was born in 1966 in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State. She studied Medicine at the University of Maiduguri, and graduated in 1988. She was a Senior Registrar at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital before joining the services of the FCT in 2004. Dr. Hadiza Balarabe is the current Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency, a position she has held since February 2016.
On the second of November 2018, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State announced her as his selected running mate for the 2019 Gubernatorial election in Kaduna State. If successful, she will become the second female deputy governor of Kaduna State. Aisha Pamela Sadauki was Kaduna’s first female deputy governor in 1992
Prior to joining the Kaduna State Government, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe was Director of Public Health in the FCT.
She is married to Alhaji Mohammed Balarabe.
