The acting Inspector General of Police, M.A Adamu, has played host to the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, today 24th January, 2019.
The delegation expressed their concern towards 2019 general elections, calling on the Nigeria Police Force to remain apolitical, neutral and provide safe, secured and equal playing ground for all in the coming elections.

On the other hand, the IGP has assured adequate security and enabling environment during elections and has warned Officers to be professional in carrying out duties.
Relatively, the IGP emphasizes that vote buying is a criminal offence and those apprehended will be arrested and be prosecuted within the ambit of the law.
