Senator Ben Bruce has called for more arms and encouragement for our military in Borno and Zamfara. He also said Nigeria can't risk having another NE.
“If we don’t arm and encourage our military in Borno and Zamfara states, we run the risks that elections may not hold in some parts of those states. We take these crises lightly. If Zamfara becomes like NE, it will spill over to Sokoto, Kebbi and Katsina. We can’t have another NE.” He said.

There are reports of several killings by arm bandits in Zamfara State and pressure are mounted on President Buhari to declare state of emergency in that state. If declared, it means there will be not election in that state for Governorship and House of Assembly.
