Fire inferno claims three lives in Port-Harcourt on Christmas Day.

There was a fire inferno in Port-Harcourt in the wee hour of Christmas Day which claimed three lives. The fire occurred at Mini Okolo Street, behind MOPOL 19 barracks, Port-Harcourt.



At the time of writing this report the true cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained but, it was rumoured that a tanker conveying fuel fell and spilled its content with a large volume of it pouring into a gutter around Rumuola linking the canal in Mini Okolo.

Few hour later Mayor of Port-Harcourt, Hon. Ihunwo Victor Nyeche pays condolence visit to surviving victims of the Christmas Day inferno.



The Mayor commended those who contained the fire from spreading to more buildings in the area, and commiserated with those who lost properties, their loved ones and prayed for the repose of their souls.
