30-year-old Ricks Kameza, stabbed his 25-year-25-year-old wife, Brenda Kapyola, a couple of times, leaving her badly injuired. The incident occurred on September 19, 2018, in Sitima,T/A Mlumbe, Malawi.
The couple had been married for almost 5 years and blessed with a daughter named Sandra Kameza, 4.
The husband works in South Africa and whilst there, he was given information that his wife is engaging in extramarital affairs. He reportedly returned to Malawi in June 2018 to resolve the issue.
The matter was reported the marriage councillors to resolve however failed because a knife was discovered hidden underneath the pillow of the spouse. When asked about the knife, the man said it will be used on his wife. This destroyed any possibilities of reconciliation.
The husband is mentioned to have left their home however came days later to acquire his passport and beg for forgiveness which the spouse rejected.
On September 16th, 2018, the wife lodged a complain at Thondwe Police with victim suppirt unit. Days later, the problem was resolved in favour of the wife who opted for divorce but the husband refused.
Then on Wednesday, September 19, the husband came home at night time and climbed into the compound via the fence. He broke one of the home windows to benefit entrance into the residence in which he discovered his wife and hacked her with a knife.
Neighbours heard the wife's screams and got here to her rescue even as the husband ran away. He later surrendered himself to the police.
The lady is in a critical condition in a medical institution even as the suspect is in custody
