DELSU expelled thirteen students over examination malpractice.

Authorities of the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka on Thursday expelled thirteen of its students for allegedly indulging in examination malpractices even as 5 different students bagged indefinite suspension for gross misconducts.

DELSU Vice Chancellor, Professor Victor Peretemode, who spoke to news men in Abraka, said the expelled students were stuck in exam malpractices for the duration of the first and second semesters, adding that “they had been brought before the ethics and disciplinary committee of the university in which they admitted their involvement in shady exam offers”.

The vice chancellor had in the course of the university matriculation ceremony earlier this year, warned students against exam malpractices, stressing that any student stuck cheating in an examination could be expelled right away.

On the five different students suspended indefinitely, the vice chancellor disclosed they would be subjected to writing an apology letter and letter of task at the safety unit, and made to visit the counseling centre of the university.

“If the 5 students on indefinite suspension will need to go through all the tactics to show they've modified earlier than they can be added to the faculty,” he stated.
