Urhobo Reject Okowa Candidacy For 2019 Governorship Elections.

The picture of Politics in Delta State is getting clearer, plans are being perfected but the real political direction is still very elusive as to under which party they will deliver their candidate.

 

Whistle blowers gathered that there have been secret meeting going on within the leadership of the Urhobo nation to enforce the Ovwiamuge declaration; they insisted that there is nothing like rotational governorship in Delta State.

They posited that there was no time in history of Delta State that we sat down regionally as a group to agree on rotational governorship. They challenge anybody with such evidence as rotational governorship to come forward and tender it.

Whistle blowers gathered that the leadership of the Urhobo nation have set out a plan that will locate a Governorship candidate and field such candidate in any of the political party and support him to clinch the governorship seat come 2019, they have set up a criteria to look out for, they opined that the man must be detribalized and matured enough to stand his ground in spreading government patronage.

The leaders who are major stakeholders in Urhobo nation has been having several meetings in Delta state, Abuja and Lagos to make sure Urhobos come out with a generally acceptable candidate who is young, successful and has not been enmeshed in one form of controversy or the other in the political equation of Delta politics.

Whistle blowers also gathered that one of the highest ranking serving officers in UPU from Agbarho in Ughelli north has been penciled down for the position of Governor come 2019.

To this end the Urhobo leaders has set up a very high power delegation to contact power brokers both at the state and national level including the Presidency and fashion a way to realize its ambition come 2019.

They are also making concerted effort to sensitize and mobilize the Urhobo nation and reach out to power brokers from other senatorial district to make this dream come true, they frown at the incompetence, marginalization and deliberate attempt to undermine the Urhobo nation by the current Okowa led administration and promise to effect a change in other to restore the lost glory of Delta state come 2019. They decried the state of infrastructural decay, poverty and lack of direction of this Okowa led administration and promise to replace him with a more competent, incorruptible and detribalized Candidate.
